Early Childhood Education

Special Care serves children, ages 6 weeks through kindergarten, with high-quality early childhood education. Each class is designed to meet the educational, therapeutic, and emotional needs of each child. Individualized education plans are designed for each student and addresses particular areas for cognitive, social-emotional, and physical development.

At Special Care, we realize that a child’s most important teacher is his/her parent. Our teachers and staff work with families to create the brightest futures for our students. Special Care teachers and therapists work as a team with parents to create the best learning environment for each child.

Conscious Discipline is a comprehensive classroom management program and a social-emotional curriculum that is used in each Special Care classroom. Conscious Discipline is a longtime leader in integrating classroom management and social-emotional learning. It utilizes everyday events rather than an external curriculum, and addresses the adult’s emotional intelligence as well as the child’s.

Special Care is accredited by AdvancED (a nonprofit, non-partisan organization that conducts rigorous, on-site external reviews of PreK-12 schools and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC Accreditation of programs for young children represents the mark of quality in early childhood education.).
